At Lucky Clucks Smallholding C.I.C, every animal has a story, a personality, and a special place in our heart. Our smallholding is home to a joyful mix of rescue animals, rare breeds, and much-loved characters who help us deliver meaningful, hands-on experiences for visitors of all ages.
Meet our gentle goats who adore a good scratch, our curious chickens who follow you around like feathered friends, and our pampered pigs who never say no to a tasty treat. Our other residents each play a unique role in creating a calm, inclusive space where people can connect with nature, build confidence, and learn new skills.

Student and Volunteer placements
It all begins with an idea.
Lucky Clucks Smallholding C.I.C offers supportive and practical placement opportunities for students and volunteers who want hands-on experience in animal care, horticulture, and sustainable smallholding practices. Our placements are designed to build confidence, develop real-world skills, and promote wellbeing through meaningful outdoor work.
Participants work alongside experienced staff, helping with daily tasks such as caring for animals, maintaining growing areas, supporting conservation projects, and assisting with community initiatives. We tailor activities to each individual’s abilities and learning goals, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and positive environment.
